In recent years, Outlook has introduced a feature called Focused Inbox. Focused Inbox's goal is to intelligently sort email, and list unimportant email to a separate “other” tab, rather than moving it to another folder. The idea is to remove spam emails and marketing from your business email inbox so you can stay “focused” on the work that you need to get done. If you do need to go through the “other” tab, it just takes a simple click for you to browse through the inbox and quickly delete the email that you don’t want to retain.
However, just like any other filter of this kind, sometimes desired email messages are incorrectly listed under the "Other" tab rather than the "Focused" tab. Therefore Outlook provides the option to turn off the Focused Inbox feature or train Outlook in which messages should be moved to Focused vs. Other (or vice-versa).
This article will outline how to turn this feature on or off in different versions of Outlook.

The Focused and Other tabs will disappear when it is turned off, and reappear when it is turned on.
