Connecting your Ubuntu Device to SoutheastSecure

To connect to the SoutheastSecure Wi-Fi network on Ubuntu, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the System Menu

In the top-right corner of your screen, click on the network icon (Wi-Fi symbol or bars) to open the network options.

Step 2: Select SoutheastSecure

In the list of available networks, locate SoutheastSecure and click on it.

Step 3: Configure Settings

  1. Authentication Method: In the dialog box that appears:

    • Set Authentication to Protected EAP (PEAP).
  2. Anonymous Identity: Leave this field blank.

  3. CA Certificate:

    • In the CA Certificate dropdown menu, select None.
    • Check the box that says No CA certificate is required.
  4. PEAP Version: Leave the default setting.

  5. Inner Authentication: Set this to MSCHAPv2.

  6. Username: Enter your SeKey.

  7. Password: Enter your SEMO password.

  8. Domain: Set this to semo.edu.

Step 4: Connect

After filling out all fields, click Connect. Ubuntu will attempt to authenticate and connect to SoutheastSecure.

Step 5: Register on Splat

  1. Navigate to splat.semo.edu using your browser.
  2. Enter your SeKey and SEMO password.
  3. Click Accept to complete the registration.
  4. Restart your device for the registration to take effect.

Once registered, your connection to the SoutheastSecure network will be fully established.
