In this article, we’ll go through how to find the MAC address of common devices so that you can connect them to SoutheastGameNet in the residence halls.
Once you locate your device’s MAC address, take a picture of it and follow this article on how to connect it to the campus Internet.
Important: Some devices have both a Wi-Fi MAC and an Ethernet (LAN) MAC. If you plan to use Wi-Fi (most common), make sure you use the Wi-Fi MAC address.
Game Consoles
Xbox:

Navigate to Settings.

Select Network.
-
Select Advanced Settings.

The MAC address will be listed on the right-hand side.
PlayStation 4:

Go to Settings.
-
Scroll down to Network.
-
Select View Connection Status.

The MAC address will be listed next to MAC Address.
PlayStation 5:

Start your PS5 without a disk in the drive.

On the home screen, select the Settings icon (gear in the top-right corner).

Go to System → Console Information.

You’ll see the MAC addresses for both LAN (Ethernet) and Wi-Fi.
TV / streaming devices
Roku / Roku TV:

Go to Settings.
-
Select Network.
-
Choose About.

The MAC addresses for Ethernet and Wi-Fi will be listed.
Fire Stick / Fire TV:

From the Home screen, go to Settings.

Scroll right and select Device.

Go to About → Network.
-
The MAC address will be displayed on the right-hand side.
Google TV:

From the Home screen, go to your Profile icon (top-right corner).

Select Settings.
-
Go to Network & Internet.
-
Choose your connected Wi-Fi network.

The MAC address will be shown under Advanced.
