Outlook uses the Focused Inbox to try to help users organize their email so that they can "focus" on important emails. Unimportant emails are moved to an "Other" inbox tab, while more important messages are left in the "Focused" tab to remain within the user's immediate access.
Like with any email "smart" filter, it will from time to time miss the mark, and move potentially important messages to the Other tab, and less important messages to the Focused tab.
In Outlook this is easily remedied.
In the Outlook desktop or web app simply right-click on the message you'd like to move and there will be an option to Move to Focused or Move to Other. There may also be an option to Always move it to one or the other. The first option moves just the one message, the Always option moves any future emails from that sender as well.
In the Outlook mobile app, tap to open the message, then tap on the three horizontal dots at the top of the screen. Select Move to Focused Inbox or Move to Other depending on where the message is.
