Canvas Studio – Adding a Video to a Page

This guide sheet provides instructions on adding a Canvas Studio video to a Page. This includes instructions on adding videos without quizzes and videos with quizzes.

Adding a Studio Video to a Page (no quiz)

1. Go to the page.

2. Click the Edit button

3. Move the cursor to the position on the page where the video should appear.

4. Click the Canvas Studio icon in the menu.

 

 

5. Select the video you wish to add from the library.

6. Click Embed. ***Video Quiz Embed shows up as an option but it does not work***

7. Continue editing the page.

Adding a Studio Video with Quiz to a Course

1. Create a new Assignment (click on Assignments and add one there or click on the ‘+’ button on the right of the module name).

 

2. Edit the Assignment.

3. Set the points it’s worth.

4. Under ‘Submission Type’, select ‘External Tool’

5. It will ask to Enter or find an External Tool URL. Click Find.

6. Select Canvas Studio

7. Select the video you wish to add from the library. Videos with the rocket ship icon in the top right have a quiz attached.

8. Instead of Standard Embed, select the Video Quiz Embed tab and choose the quiz to be attached.

9. Click Embed.

10. Set anything else, such as due dates, and click Save and Publish.
