Canva is an online digital design and publishing platform that enables users to create high quality visual content quickly and easily. Using an intuitive drag‑and‑drop editor, Canva provides access to extensive libraries of images, graphics, templates, videos, and fonts. It supports creation of social media posts, presentations, posters, videos, logos, and a variety of other digital and print assets.

All currently enrolled SEMO students have access to Canva Pro. In order to sign up for a Canva account, please do the following:
1. Open a web browser and visit http://canva.semo.edu. This will open the University Single Sign On page, with Academic Hall in the background.
2. Enter your SEMO email address and password to sign in.
3. You will shown several welcoming screens regarding your new student account.
4. Once you have proceeded through these screens you will be taken to the Canva home screen.
5. If you click on the 3 dots (More) button at the bottom of the left menu, you will find an option for Design School, which provides training on using Canva.
NOTE: If you had purchased a Canva Pro account using your SEMO email account, we may be able to have your some of your costs reimbursed.

The campus has a limited number of paid accounts for faculty and staff. You can request a license for Canva using the Canva Request Form.
If/when your account request is approved, you will be notified.
Logging Into Canva (Faculty & Staff)
Once you have submitted a Request for Canva, and have been notified that your request has been approved, proceed through the following steps to access your account:
- From a computer, open a web browser
- Visit http://canva.semo.edu
- Enter your SEMO email address and password
- The following screen will be displayed - click Continue
- This should result in the Canva main page.
In the lower left corner is an indicator that you are using a paid account through the university.

WT = User's initials
Canva Help
There are several tutorials available within Canva. Once you are logged in, select "Design School" on the left menu.
You may need to use the "More (...)" option to find "Design School".
