What is a Security Incident?
A security incident includes any event that may compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of university data or systems, such as:
- Phishing emails or suspicious messages asking for credentials
- Compromised accounts (unauthorized access to your email, systems, or data)
- Lost or stolen devices containing university data
- Malware or ransomware infections
- Unauthorized access to sensitive information
- Data breaches or accidental disclosure of protected information
- Suspicious system activity or unusual network behavior
