SelfPassword Reset

What Is It?

Every Southeast account has a password associated with it. SE Key's and Southeast email accounts share the same synchronized passwords.

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

Anyone with an active Southeast account.

Where Can I Get It?

The Self-Help Password Reset Facility is located at this link.

How Do I Use It?

The user will need to know their Southeast Key (SEKey), Southeast ID # as well as have a valid mobile phone or personal (non-SEMO) email address on file in order to use this facility.

Once valid Southeast account information and a PIN (2-digit DAY and YEAR of birth) are entered, a recovery code is sent via text message or email to the selected device or account. That code can be used to reset the password.

If the user is unsure of this information, contact the Help Desk at 573.651.4357 or helpdesk@semo.edu. Be prepared to provide verification of identity by providing a copy of a government-issued photo ID, and/or personal information such as:

  • Full Legal Name (including maiden name if married)
  • Date of Birth
  • Major at SEMO
  • Name of High School attended
  • Year of HS Graduation

Once a new password has been submitted, there may be a slight delay of up to 15 minutes before the new password will be synchronized across all systems.

How Much Does It Cost?
