How to Add an outcome to a Quiz

 

Quick Guide

Step 1: Create a quiz using New Quiz. (If the quiz needed is a Classic Quiz, click Quizzes, find the quiz, click the three dots all the way to the right, and select Migrate.)
Step 2. Click on the quiz. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Build.

From here there are three options. Outcomes can be added to specific questions within a quiz, outcomes can be added to the quiz as a whole (mastery is determined by the overall quiz score), or outcomes can be added to an Item Bank of questions and added to the quiz.

To Add an Outcome to a Specific Question:
Step 1: Click the blue ‘+’ button to create a new question.
Step 2: Choose a question type and provide question details
Step 3: Click Align to Outcomes.
Step 4: Click the box to add an outcome to the question.
Step 5: Click the outcomes folder on the left.
Step 6: Select an outcome and click Confirm Alignments.

To Add an Outcome to the Whole Quiz:
Step 1: At the top of the Build page, click Outcomes in the upper right.
Step 2: Click Align Outcomes to Quiz at the top.
Step 3: Click the outcomes folder on the left.
Step 4: Select an outcome and click Confirm Alignments.


 

  1. Create a quiz using New Quiz.

  1. Click on the quiz, and click Build. It’s on the right at the bottom of the Edit page.

 

To Add an Outcome to a Specific Question:

  1. Click the blue ‘+’ button to create a new question.

  1. Choose a question type and provide question details

  1. Click Align to Outcomes.

  1. Click the box to add an outcome to the question.

  1. Click the outcomes folder on the left. Select an outcome and click Confirm Alignments.

 

To Add an Outcome to the Whole Quiz:

  1. At the top of the Build page, click Outcomes in the upper right.

 

 

  1. Click Align Outcomes to Quiz at the top.

  1. Click the outcomes folder on the left. Select an outcome and click Confirm Alignments.
