Importing a course from previous semester

How to Import a Course

This guide sheet will detail how to import a course from a prior semester into a future one.

1. Go to the course to import into. Click the Import Existing Content button on the right.
2. From the Content Type drop down menu, select Copy a Canvas Course.
3. Select the course from the drop down menu or type the name in the search box and select it.
4. Click the All content button to import the entire course as is.
5. Check the box to Adjust events and due dates.
6. Confirm the new beginning date is correct. The ending date is only important if moving to a different-size course (e.g. importing a 16-week course into an 8 week course).
7. Click Import.
